Adrian owen instead of cruncher? Dont quite see that myself.
Andrew Roberts instead of someone like martin rowe Having a bit of a laugh now. And where the hell andrew lane comes from i have no idea. And lets be honest mason only really had one good season with us when he come back from ponty. The rest he was there just for the money.

To be honest russian its only my opinion, i have watched mount for about 25 years and to be fair when Andrew Lane came from Abercynon we had a couple of good seasons out of him, Martin Rowe was a good player but Andrew Roberts played over 300 games for the first xv, Crunsher and Adrian Owen , to simler players but Crunsher was never a regular in the firstxv , but last couple of years Adrian has been more of a match winner than Crunsher, we could have had Chris Conway in that to , but he was here, ther and everywere so mount never seen the best of him, had more class than Crunsher and Adrian.

I think the reason le cruncher played less games than adrian owen was more down to injury than anything. The guy put is body on the line so much. He would always beat the 1st man where adrian his to inconsistent for me. And come to think of it neil eynon confesses me as well. I think he spent his best years away from mount how many actually seasons did he play for mount. For me matthew griffiths was a consistent performer week in week out. Why did andrew lane leave abercynon? Because he was not good enough down there. So he came to us. Would about people like Christopher edmunds, Rhys Miles, Docherty(cant remember 1st name came from hirwaun) Greg veale. All these players have double the work load of someone like andrew lane.

What about Meirion Thomas, probably the best player we got at the moment. A bit mental but quality player who could go to a higher level

Some of the best players to play for Mount were those from the 60s and 70s and only Pullman has been mentioned to date. What about some of these to include in the greatest ever Mount team. John Pritchard (full back), Dai O'Mahoney and Graham Jones (best ever centre partnership to play for Mount), Phil Mumford (outside half), Mal Close (best hooker by far to have played for Mount and Abercynon). In the early 80s you wouldn't go far wrong with Lawrence Lewis to once again partner Phil Jenkins and Dai Thomas on the flank.]

Neil Edwards was a class act, and mount's lineout was always guaranteed first phase play.

Greatest ever Mount player ? Well, why on earth has no-one mentioned Dai The Vet the finest contact-avoiding open-side you could ever wish for ? Running Dai close would have to be Iolo Ap Dafydd, not necessarily Mount's finest winger, but certainly the best news reporter ever to don the black and amber 14 shirt.

there are plenty in the junior ranks who could take this honour in the future and will surely play at very high level of rugby.Pascoe & gunter in the u16s being the obvious ones but the under 14s are probably pound for pound the best team in the club,difficult to name an individual in a really good team but nathan mason could potentially be the best hooker the club has produced.keiron davies a very good flank forward,kurtis Reacord & sam withers at half back and the centre pairing of luke bradwick & darrian hayman have a lot of potential and are all future 1st xv players

I hope all your predictions come good and these boys progress to the 1st team. But u can hardly put them in the greatest player league. Alot of youngsters simply drift out of the game while others dont progress skill wise much further. I hope im proved wrong

i accept that & am not putting these boys forward now as greats,but the future of the club does look rosy in short & long term.I've been following mount since the llanelli cup game & the best players in my opinion are Neil Edwards (gone on to do it consistantly at a higher level) & Pascoe.For the current crop it's got to be scud (the best forward in the division) though run close by Panco & Tubbs but Richie Griff has got a big future too.

If i have my way there will be no seconds so the youngsters can go somewhere else, bunch of ASBOS anyway. All we need are my boys!

The debate for the best ever mount team will be totally different for everyone, we have had some great player's over the year's.

Personally i think the current team are the best team not indavidually but collectivelly i have seen.Some of the rugby these guys play are breathtaking.You can see the boys fight for each other every week.

Best of luck for the rest of the season boy's lets hope we get promotion and the cup you trully deserve it.
