How good are these then? The second time we've had them in the club and they were awesome. But who makes these crap decisions to play the bands halfway down the concert hall?

PostSubject: GTFI at back of hall   Sat Oct 25, 2008 2:06 pm

As usual the problem is that certain members of the Committe are getting Greedy. I.E. if they can squeeze an extra 20 or 30 people in they will. Ironicaly the committee do not realise that LOYAL SUPPORTERS are leaving in droves BECAUSE of the decision to place bands at the back of the Hall.

It has taken a number of YEARS and no little hard work to establish MARFC as a live music venue. Unfortunately it seems that the committe seem hell bent on souring the relationship between BANDS / SUPPORTERS and the committee. What makes matters worse is these decisions are being made by individuals who have never attended a live show at MARFC.

Why do the committee feel the need to cater for punters, who turn up once in a blue moon, at the expense of LOYAL SUPPORTERS who turn up come rain or shine. If the committe feel the venue gets too crowded when the bands play at the front of the stage why not restrict entry? this would effectively encourage supporters to turn up earlier and at the very least ensure a full house.

ALL the BANDS and THE MAJORITY OF SUPPORTERS agree that bands should play at the front of the stage. With the band at the front of the stage and about 100 or so people in the audience the atmosphere is electric.

Any one who watched KOZMIC DRIVE at THE NEW HARP last Thursday would agree.

May I ask that anyone wishing to complain puts their complaint in wiritin to MARFC Committe.

SORRY FOR THE RANT.......KEEP MUSIC LIVE!!!!!!!!!!
